Gingerbread Cookies Ingredients • 5 Cups Flour sifted • 1 teaspoon Salt • ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg • ½ teaspoon Cloves • 3 Tablespoons Cinnamon • 1 teaspoon Ginger • 1 ⅛ teaspoon Baking Powder • 1 Cup Shortening • 1 ¼ Cup Sugar • 1 Egg beaten • 1 Cup Light Molasses • ⅓ Cup Water Instructions Mix together Shortening and Sugar. Then add Egg, Molassess and Water. Then mix in the rest. Refrigerate the dough for an hour or so (or overnight). Roll and cut out with whatever cookie cutters you prefer. Bake at 350° for 8 - 10 minutes. | ||
